Halkyn Mountain is a great place for a field trip for all age groups, whether you want to look for the remains of lead mining, visit a working quarry, look at the limekilns and old quarries, study the wildlife or any combination of these. It is easy to explore the open common on a network of clear paths.
To give a taste of how much children and young people get out of these visits, we have posted some of their comments and photographs of their visits.
If you would like some help planning your visit, please contact the Halkyn Ranger on 01352 703900. To arrange a visit to Pant-y-pwll dŵr quarry, please contact Cemex UK on 01352 780651.
